"Book 10 is one of the most powerful books of the Aeneid as it offers a study of the moral complexities of war and presents episodes which are key to the understanding of the moral economy of the poem as a whole. Taken up almost entirely by battle-scenes, it has often been recognized as one of the most Iliadic books of the Aeneid. Unfortunately, it is also one of the least read books of the poem as readers usually favor the "Odyssean" first half.
